We kept seeing the same problem play out across US companies — especially in the South. Great businesses, growing fast, but completely stuck when it came to accounting hires. Not because they didn't want to pay well. Not because their culture was bad. The talent simply wasn't there.

The accounting talent shortage in the US is real and accelerating. With 2.0% unemployment for accountants and 75% of CPAs retiring within 15 years, the math just doesn't work for most companies trying to build a domestic accounting team.
